Patriotism and Service

A Thank You to One of Our Veteran Volunteers

studentletter1

Dear Mr. Lucier,

Thank you so much for coming to our school and talking about patriotism with our class (+Mrs. Ahern's and Mrs. Mazzola's class). It was really, really fun/cool!

My favorite part was hearing about your life in the military. I think the saying "learn something new every day" should be changed to "learn a billion things new every day." It was so educational! I learned so many things about patriotism that I never knew before. What patriotism is and how to be a patriot, like helping in your community, and celebrating Memorial Day or Veterans Day are examples of showing that you are a patriot. Did you know you are one cool dude?

I really appreicate you coming all the way out to talk to us. What was your favorite and least favorite subject in school? Why did you want to join the military?

Thnaks again!

Sincerely,

Taylor

P.S. You met Sandra Day O'Connor, so did I!
