The Joe Foss Institute introduced a new logo as part of a concerted effort to update the Institute's brand, and to raise awareness about its work. A new Web site is set to be launched in late 2009.

The new mark features an arrow (formed by white space between two ribbons) that points to a star, symbolizing our mission to teach patriotism, service and American values to the youth of our nation.

In addition, the mark will be a lasting tribute to Joe Foss, as its design hints at the Congressional Medal of Honor he received for his heroic exploits as a fighter pilot at Guadalcanal in World War II.

JFI's Annual Fund Raiser a Success
Thursday, 15 October 2009
The 3rd Annual Joe Foss Institute Pheasant Hunt took place in South Dakota in early October. The fundraising event, for the second year in a row, was covered by the Outdoor Channel television network, and was a tremendous success. Some of America's highest profile men and women gathered for three days--along with a number of veterans--to enjoy the hunt, and to talk about the important work of the Joe Foss Institute.
